Roseville in top 25 U.S. growth cities

Updated June 21, 2022
According to data from the annual U-Haul Growth Index, the Sacramento-Roseville market was ranked the number eight growth city in the nation in 2021.

Roseville's growth and development are the result of decades of thoughtful and comprehensive planning. These efforts help fuel a healthy economic environment and create a place where residents and businesses invest in the future.

Growth cities are calculated by the net gain of one-way U-Haul trucks entering versus leaving that city in a calendar year. Migration data is compiled from more than 2 million annual one-way U-Haul truck customer transactions.

This ranking reinforces Roseville reputation as one of the most desirable places to live in California. High paying jobs, retail opportunities, and the reliability and low cost of city-owned utilities are features often considered by those relocating. Roseville has previously been recognized for safety, livability, remote work, among other accolades

San Diego is the only other California city in the U-Haul ranking, with a spot at number 12.
