Free guided tours

Drop by any Saturday at 10:00am for a free guided tour to learn about the Nisenan Maidu culture. On the trail, you will see petroglyphs over 5,000 years old, hundreds of bedrock mortars, and native plants and animals. Inside the museum you will see artifacts, traditional basketry and original Indigenous art.

Private group tours

If you have a group of 10 or more, you can reserve a private Group tour. Group tours are great for family, friends, scouts, clubs, or home school groups. For younger audiences, special needs groups, or for people with physical limitations, book our 1 hour Combo Tour. 

School programs

Bring your class to the museum or bring the museum to your classroom for an experience your students will remember for years to come. School tour programs are designed for Grades 3-6 and meet History and Social Science Content Standards section 3.1, 3.2, 4.1, 4.2 and 5.2 for the state of California. Combo tours are designed for our younger audiences, Preschool-Grade 2. Make sure you book several months in advance to get your preferred date(s).
