A new wall is being constructed in the South Plaza of the Placer Valley Soccer Complex, sponsored by the City of Roseville’s Environmental Utilities Department.
Environmental Utilities provides services that include water, wastewater, recycled water and solid waste. The wall will be constructed using concrete blocks: Interior-Facing Side (within the Complex): Designed as an interactive statement piece, this mural will serve as a memorable (Instagramable) experience for visitors and teams to visually interact with the mural which will be viewed via social media across the nation.
The mural may be sports-inspired, highlighting field sports such as flag football, lacrosse, quadball, soccer and rugby, reflecting the wide variety of activities hosted at the complex. A Call to Artists for the exterior facing wall with a theme supporting the Environmental Utilities Department will be going out later.
Proposals should include all of the following components:
• Submit a written proposal with a concept sketch and a project budget (not to exceed $10,000).
• Include a current resume with images of at least three completed mural installations.
• Provide two professional references.
