Big Boy No. 4014, the world’s largest steam locomotive, will be on display for public viewing in Roseville April 10-11, as part of Union Pacific’s “coast-to-coast” steam tour.
The train will be on display Friday, April 10, and Saturday, April 11. Route details and specific viewing times will be shared as the tour approaches.
On Saturday, the City will be offering additional activities at the Vernon Street Town Square between 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., including a Maker’s Market and live music. Stay tuned for more information.
The monthlong tour, which starts March 29, will honor Union Pacific’s celebrating 250 years of American independence and innovation.
Big Boy No. 4014 will be joined by two commemorative locomotives, including the railroad’s newest locomotive: No. 1776 – America250. It’s a tribute to the signing of the Declaration of Independence and is the official train for the United States' 250th-anniversary celebration.
