Raising Cane's is building a new location at the former site of On the Border at 1220 Galleria Blvd.
Plans include a new drive-thru restaurant totaling 3,857 square feet.
The chain offers a menu that includes chicken fingers, coleslaw, crinkle-cut fries and Texas toast.
