1000 Books Before Kindergarten banner

The concept is simple, the rewards are priceless!
Start a reading routine with your baby, toddler or preschooler to help them develop school readiness skills. We’ll help keep you on track by setting milestones and providing incentives along your child’s path to reading 1000 books before kindergarten.

How to participate:
*Visit the library to get your first reading log.
*Read a book to your, infant and/or toddler.
*Mark off 1 star for each book you read together.
*When all stars have been filled, return your log to the library for a fun prize.
