It's a simple fact that mulch can help save water. Make sure to mark your calendars for May 4, 2024 from 8 a.m. to noon if you're a Roseville water customer interested in getting FREE mulch. This is just one of the ways you can make your garden more water-efficient.

The goal of this event is to assist local residents in preparing their landscapes and yards for the scorching summer days. Mulch has a variety of benefits, such as reducing evaporation, regulating soil temperature, and controlling weeds. As it decomposes, mulch also adds vital nutrients to the soil. By adding 2-3 inches of organic mulch (like leaves and wood chips) around trees and plants, residents can save up to 30 gallons of water per 1,000 square feet.
