Lighting Rebate Program

Our Commercial Lighting Rebate Program is designed to provide energy efficiency rebates to all business customers who upgrade to LED light fixtures that result in saving of energy (kWh). Existing lights must be functioning in order to qualify for replacement rebate.

Rebates up to $0.15 per kilowatt hour (kWh) reduced, as determined through completion of the attached lighting schedule. Rebate caps may apply at the time of reservation, subject to funding availability and at the sole discretion of the Program Manager.

Participating contractors must:

• Have a City of Roseville business license.
• Accept the Roseville Electric Utility Contractor Code of Conduct.
• Permits are required for reservations over $10,000.

Lighting Measure Details

LED T8 Lamps

The LED tube must be 4-foot and designated as UL Type B, UL Type A+B, or UL Type C. UL Type A+B (dual mode) lamps must be installed in a Type B configuration with the existing ballast removed.

The lamp must be listed under the Primary Use Category “Internal Driver/Line Voltage (UL Type B) Lamps”, “Dual Mode Internal Driver (UL Type A and Type B)”, “2-Lamp External Driver (UL Type C) Lamps”, “3-Lamp External Driver (UL Type C) Lamps”, “4-Lamp External Driver (UL Type C) Lamps” on the current Design Lights Consortium qualified product list.

The LED tube must be compatible with the installed system lighting controls. For example, if the lighting system includes dimming controls, the new LED tube must be dimmable and compatible with the installed dimming system.

LED, High and Low Bay

LED High or Low Bays must replace a lumen equivalent fixture of higher wattage.

The LED fixture or retrofit kit must be listed in the Technical Requirements table (V5.1) by the DLC under the General Category “High Bay” and under the Primary Use Designations as follows:

High-Bay Luminaires for Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Low-Bay Luminaires for Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Retrofit Kits for High-Bay Luminaires for Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Retrofit Kits for Low-Bay Luminaires for Commercial and Industrial Buildings

Exclusions

Horticultural installations are not eligible.
Screw-based lamps are not eligible.
Tube LEDs (TLEDs) are not eligible as measure case equipment.

Program requirements

Prior to purchasing equipment and starting to work on the project, an applicant must provide the following information and documentation:

Fill out and submit Reservation Form A
Fill out and submit lighting schedule found here.
Provide the manufacture's specification sheet.
A detailed lighting map showing location and lamp style is required on projects larger than 30.
Proof of approval from Design Light Consortium (DLC) version 5.1 for each style of lighting proposed.
Permits are required for reservations over $10,000. Please note that a finalized permit will be required prior to any rebate over $10,000 being paid out.
Pre and Post photos of each style of lighting is required. If a UL Type A+B (dual mode) lamp is installed, a photo of it wired in a Type B configuration with the existing ballast removed is also required.
Once the project is complete, please provide completed Form B and Form C.
