Succulents for Soups: A water-wise food drive beginning November 28

Updated October 24, 2023
Do you have surplus canned goods and non-perishables in your pantry? Seize the opportunity to contribute, donate, and receive succulents as part of the ongoing Succulents for Soups initiative by Roseville Environmental Utilities.

We’ve extended the food drive until December 16 (no donations accepted on December 10 and 11). You can contribute non-perishable food items between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. at the Utility Exploration Center, located at 1501 Pleasant Grove Boulevard, and receive a complimentary succulent.

Already we have filled more than four large donation bins, but we aspire to surpass expectations and collect even more goods! All collected food will be generously donated to the Roseville St. Vincent de Paul Society, a prominent local organization combating hunger and food insecurity.

In collaboration with Green Acres Nursery and Supply, we are pleased to offer water-efficient succulents to our community members in exchange for their donations. Every donating family will receive succulents along with water-saving tips.

Succulents, known for their water efficiency, are drought-tolerant plants. They can save a significant amount of water, making them an excellent starting point for discussions on water conservation.

This offer is valid while supplies last, so act swiftly and make your donation!
