Tim Schooley is the author of historical fiction and legal thrillers. His novel The Wool Translator won the Jameson Award (UOP) and was short-listed for the Chaucer Book Award (Chanticleer Reviews). Tim pursued a career as an appellate attorney and law school professor, and early in his life he performed as a circus clown with Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey Circus. Thomas M. Brant is a recently retired Software Engineer who worked in Silicon Valley for more than 30 years. His natural love for words inspired him to write Adelaide’s Appetite. He now lives in Roseville with his wife Laurie and loves spending his free time and sharing his love for words with his eight (and counting) grandchildren.

Terri A. Castaneda is a cultural anthropologist and Professor Emerita at CSUS. The author of Marie Mason Potts: The Lettered Life of a California Indian Activist (Univ. of Oklahoma Press, 2020), Castaneda will talk about Marie Potts's extraordinary life story, and about the research for her new book project, which is focused on the ancestral history and literary ambitions of one of the first women to graduate from UC Berkeley (Class of 1878), who also happened to know Marie during her years at the Greenville Indian Industrial School.
