Updated May 10, 2022

At its April 20 meeting, the Roseville City Council allotted $1,000 for the addition of plaques to the Placer County Veterans Monument to honor Roseville veterans.  Currently the monument contains the names of 470 Placer County veterans including 42 from Roseville. 94 more names will be added on November 11.

The memorial is located in McBean Memorial Park in Lincoln and has been the work of the Lincoln Veterans Monument Coalition. The monument was unveiled May 31, 2021.

“This is an all-volunteer organization that has worked on the monument for over four years contributing 17,000 volunteer hours,” said Don Witt, President of the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition. “As Roseville and Placer County residents, we invite you to visit the monument for events or to spend quiet time with a family member.”

The Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition is attempting to raise $100,000 for the next phase of the monument and  on-going maintenance.  For more information about purchasing a monument plaque, the monument or the Lincoln Veterans Memorial Coalition, visit www.LincolnVeteransMemorial.org
