APPA serves as the advocate for not-for-profit, community-owned utilities, providing power to 2,000 towns and cities across the nation. Roseville Electric Utility has been a proud partner of APPA for many years. Since 2001, APPA has organized the Rodeo in various communities throughout the United States. Journeyman and apprentice lineworkers from across the U.S. and its territories gather to engage in professional competition, attend training sessions, promote safe practices, and hone essential skills.
The Rodeo also presents a unique opportunity to foster community engagement and acknowledge city services through a complimentary, family-friendly event. The festivities include lineworkers competitions, apprentice testing, a vendor expo, an awards banquet dinner, a family night, a dedicated kid's zone, and various other activities. This event not only showcases the skills and dedication of lineworkers but also provides an inclusive and entertaining atmosphere for families that celebrates the hard-working electric utility lineworkers from public utilities across the U.S.
Hosting this event is a great opportunity to generate attention to all the amenities the City of Roseville has to offer and is estimated to have an economic impact of more than $1.8M for the local economy.
