Beat the Heat and Save Energy
Temperatures in Roseville get high during the summer, but your energy bill doesn’t need to. Roseville Electric is here to help you stay cool and in control with simple tips to save energy and enhanced rebates to help you save money.

Save energy when it matters most!

During peak hours | 4-9 p.m.:

  • Raise your AC temperature to 78 degrees or higher, if health permits. This is one of the most effective ways to save energy.
  • Limit the use of big appliances (ovens, stoves, dishwashers, and laundry machines)
  • Close your blinds to block the sun's heat. About 76% of the sunlight that falls on your windows enters your home to become heat.
  • Use ceiling fans that spin counterclockwise - they cost about 90% less to operate than your AC.

Before 4 p.m. or after 9 p.m.:

  • Pre-cool your home
  • Charge electric vehicles
  • Charge mobile devices and laptops
  • Run dishwashers, laundry machines, and other appliances
  • Set pool pumps to run
