Roseville named 8th best small city in U.S. for first-time home buyers

This ranking reinforces Roseville standing as one of the most desirable places to live in California.  In 2017, Roseville was also ranked as the top place to raise a family in California by Smart and as one of the leading cities where millennials are buying homes.

To determine the most favorable housing markets for first-time buyers, WalletHub looked at real estate in 300 cities of varying sizes using 27 key metrics across three key areas:

  • Affordability,
  • Real-Estate Market and
  • Quality of Life. considered a wide range of data from cost of living to real-estate taxes to property-crime rate.

In 2017, 38% of all U.S. single-family home purchases were made by first-time buyers. A small city in this survey is one with fewer than 150,000 residents.
