Soccer Complex update

Soccer Complex construction update

Construction on our highly anticipated new Soccer Complex is well underway, with significant progress being made. The 51-acre facility features more than just fields, boasting a universally accessible playground that will allow children of all abilities to enjoy the space alongside their friends and caregivers.

Each of the 10 lighted synthetic turf fields is carefully leveled and installed, a process that takes about a month per field to ensure the highest standards for play. Additional features include 950 parking spaces, a looped walking path for exercise, shaded picnic areas and two plazas equipped with restrooms and concessions.

Parks, Recreation & Libraries Director Jill Geller shared her enthusiasm, "Seeing the progress on this incredible facility is truly exciting. The new Soccer Complex will be a wonderful addition to Roseville, offering state-of-the-art amenities for athletes and families alike. We can’t wait to welcome the community to this fantastic space."

Completion of the project is expected in late 2025. Once finished, the complex will provide fields for soccer, football, lacrosse, quidditch and more, making it a hub for local sports programs and a major draw for regional sports leagues and sports tourism.

The City Council approved the purchase of up to 20 acres on Phillip Road, Brookstone Drive and Durango Way in west Roseville. The City of Roseville currently owns the adjacent parcel north of the proposed 20-acre property.

The soccer complex will add money to the city’s General Fund through increased sales at our shops and restaurants as well as hotel occupancy tax revenue from out-of-town visitors.

The complex will add to the growing number of parks in Roseville. A workshop to discuss the plans was held on February 1, 2022.
