We are not hosting holiday craft fairs in 2018.
Budget challenges have resulted in the need to further reduce services so that we live within our means. Unfortunately the craft fair is one program that is on the list of additional reductions.
This was not a decision that was entered into lightly. We have spent the last year involved in a public input process called Engage Roseville in an effort to get feedback on priorities. While we received a variety of answers on what matters to the community, on more than one occasion it was shared that events were not a top priority. With that information in mind, we are reducing a number of events and park maintenance activities, as well as making reductions to hours at the Maidu Museum & Historic Site.
