If you’re happy and you know it, you live in Roseville according to a new study

Cost of living, physical and mental health, and overall quality of life are some of the many reasons Roseville ranks 7th in the United States as a city with the happiest residents according to a study by SmartAsset.com.

SmartAsset.com analyzed 200 of the largest cities in the country and based their findings using 13 metrics across three categories.

  • Personal Finance: Percent of individuals earning $100,000 or more, cost of living as a percent of income, personal bankruptcy filings and down payment-to-income ratio.
  • Well-Being: Percent reporting poor mental health days, life expectancy, physical activity rate and percent of adults with health insurance.
  • Quality of Life: Percent of adults living below poverty-level, marriage rate, commute time (minutes), concentration of dining, bars & entertainment businesses and violent crime rate.

Specifically SmartAsset said, “Living costs in Roseville, California are the fifth-lowest across the study making up about a third of the median household income annually. Just over 38% of the city’s population earn $100,000 or more (13th-highest) and less than 6% live below the poverty-level (fourth-lowest).”
