FAB Memberships & Drop-In
FAB programming is in full swing at the Maidu Community Center and the Mahany Fitness Center, offering a variety of programs at both locations. These programs are designed for anyone over the age of 50 to come and enjoy. Participation in activities require a FAB membership or paying the daily drop-in fee ($5).

Types of Activities
We offer a wide range of activities to FAB participants. A sampling of these activities include:
  • Clubs: Genealogical Society and Color Therapy
  • Active Programs: Maidu Singers, Wii Sports, Bocce Ball
  • Support Groups: Parkinson's, Widowed Persons, Alzheimer's Caregivers, Bereaved Parents and Looking Forward (Low Vision & Blind)
  • Variety of workshops and presentations from professional health and aging agencies
  • Day Trips, Potlucks, Luncheons
  • Bingo, Bunco, Knit & Crochet, Pinochle, Quilting, Mahjong, Movies, Hand & Foot, Canasta, and so much more!

Day Trip: San Francisco #20244
Tuesday, April 28
  • Enjoy a relaxing day trip to San Francisco's Golden Gate Park with visits to the Japanese Tea Garden, select galleries at the de young museum, and the San Francisco Botanical Garden. Lunch will be available for individual purchase at the de Young Cafe. 
  • Expect moderate to heavy walking with frequent opportunities to rest. Transportation is provided. Comfortable walking shoes and layers are recommended. Not wheelchair accessible.
  • Two pick up/drop off locations: 
    • Mahany Fitness Center - 7:30am pick up - around 7:30pm drop off
    • Maidu Community Center - 8:00am pick up - around 7:00pm drop off

Day Trip: Napa Valley #20255
Thursday, June 11
  • Enjoy a scenic trip to Napa Valley, including a visit to the di Rosa Center for Contemporary Art, lunch at Oxbow Public Market (purchased individually) with time to browse the food vendors, and free time at V. Sattui Winery to stroll the grounds and visit the deli and marketplace.
  • Expect moderate walking with frequent opportunities to rest. Transportation is provided. Comfortable walking shoes and light layers are recommended. Not wheelchair accessible.
  • Two pick up/drop off locations:

Puzzle Palooza
Mahany Fitness Center
Saturday, July 11, 10:00am-12:30pm
  • Join us for a fun and challenging event at the Mahany Fitness Center! Puzzle enthusiasts of all ages (14+) are invited to team up and compete in our exciting Puzzle Palooza. Here's what you can look forward to: 
    • Complete a 500-piece puzzle as fast as you can within 2 hours. 
    • $40 per team (up to 4 people)
    • Only 1 person per team needs to register
    • Prizes for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place
    • Take a puzzle home as a trophy of your achievement
    • Participant in our puzzle swap: bring a puzzle, take a puzzle
  • Proceeds from the event will benefit Roseville's, active aging community, supporting various programs and services. Register today and get ready for a puzzling, good time!
  • Want to compete in the Puzzle Palooza, but don't have a team to compete with? Register as an individual participant for $10. As an individual participant, you will be placed on a team (up to 4 people) with other individual participants on the day of the event.

  • August Watercolor Workshop - #19992
    • Take your watercolor skills to the next level in this 4 week series. Complete multiple paintings while learning watercolor techniques, color mixing, color theory and composition. The specific content will be tailored to the needs and interests of those in the class. This is the perfect opportunity for anyone who would like to make some momentum in their painting journey.
