Come celebrate the Maidu Museum's 10 years of the Maidu Museum by visiting for free from 9:00am-4:00pm on Saturday, February 15. Not only can you visit for free to explore the historic site and check out the hands-on exhibits but there will also be kid’s crafts and activities, demonstrations of traditional Native American practices and birthday cupcakes.

Be sure to gather your family and friends and stop by anytime during the event to participate in activities and enjoy cultural demonstrations on traditional indigenous skills such as making arrowheads and acorn preparation. For the younger ones in your group, you can visit the kid’s activity and craft tables for hands-on fun.

At 1:00pm enjoy a special presentation by Native storyteller, Kim “Shining Star” Petree, in front of warm fire at the outdoor amphitheater (weather permitting). Before you leave, don't forget to venture upstairs in the museum to check out opening day of the Calling Young Coyotes art show from young local Native American artists in the Indigenous Art Gallery.
