StoryWalk at Mahany Park

Updated July 02, 2020

Looking for something fun to do? Get out of the house, enjoy some fresh air, and promote literacy with your little ones at our StoryWalk® at Mahany Park!

  • What is a StoryWalk®? It is a way for kids (and their grown-ups!) to enjoy reading and the outdoors at the same time. Pages of a deconstructed picture book are laminated and then posted on stakes along a trail.
  • Who is it for? The StoryWalk® book was specially selected with 2 – 5 year olds in mind, but it's great for all who are young at heart.
  • When can I visit? Story pages are posted Tuesday – Saturday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm and will be available through August 1.
  • Where is it? Mahany Park, behind the Riley Library. Pass through the courtyard between the Library and the Sports Center and exit the left gate to find the starting spot. The StoryWalk® follows a 0.5 mile loop along the trail.

StoryWalk® is part of our Summer Reading Program, sponsored by the Friends of the Library. If you haven’t already registered for our FREE Summer Reading Program, sign up today at https://roseville.beanstack.org/reader365 and start logging your reading to earn a free prize.

The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. Storywalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
