Skeletal remains found off Riverside Ave

Roseville, Ca – On Tuesday February 12, 2019 the Roseville Police Department received a call reporting they found bones in a wooded area near the 600 block of Riverside Avenue. Officers were dispatched to the area and located, what appeared to be human skeletal remains, which had been there for some time.

At this time, there’s an open investigation to determine the cause of death. It’s unknown if any foul play was involved. Roseville Police partnered with the Placer County Coroner’s Office and the Chico State Anthropology program to conduct an extensive and systematic search of the Riverside Avenue property.

Per preliminary examination of the remains, it is believed that the deceased individual is a male roughly 6’2” tall. Experts believe the remains have been there for approximately two years.
