Beat 1 (northeast Roseville)

Beat 2 (east Roseville)
South Cirby and Cirby Ranch, suspected package thief arrested: Roseville officers are doing extra patrols throughout the holiday season in both retail areas and residential areas, watching for theft activity. At about 2 p.m. December 19, an undercover officer saw a man steal a package from a porch in the 1500 block of Sheridan Avenue. The suspect drove away at a high rate of speed, running a red light and almost colliding with another car before he stopped on Champion Oaks near Cirby Way, and was arrested. Officers searched his car and found the package from Sheridan Avenue, another package that had been stolen from the 1500 block of Pine Valley Circle, and a package stolen from Citrus Heights. They arrested the 26-year-old Citrus Heights man on suspicion of theft, reckless driving and other related charges, and towed his car. (2017-84288)

Lead Hill, assault: At 4:22 p.m. December 20, a man attacked a Salvation Army bell ringer in the 1400 block of Lead Hill. In an apparently unprovoked attack, the man punched the adult male victim, knocking him to the ground and kicking him until bystanders came to his rescue. The suspect, described as a white male, age 25-35, 6’0” and 120-160 pounds, with brown dreadlocks and wearing brown clothing, left in a green pickup, accompanied by a white female. Officers checked the area but weren’t able to find the suspect. The victim didn’t require medical attention at the scene. (2017-84549)

Beat 3 (central Roseville south of the rail yard)
Folsom Road, vandalism: Overnight December 20/21, someone broke a marble bench in front of a business in the 200 block of Harding Blvd. (2017-84707)

Beat 4 (central Roseville north of the rail yard):
Nothing of general interest this time.

Beat 5 (north central Roseville):
Foothills Junction, robbery: At 4 p.m. December 19, a man approached a 13-year-old boy on foot at the corner of Foothills Blvd. and McAnally Drive, and demanded money, threatening to beat the boy. The boy gave the robber some cash, and the man walked away. Officers located the suspect in the area few minutes later, and arrested the 18-year-old Roseville man on suspicion of robbery. Highland Reserve, burglary: Between 6:45 and 6:55 a.m. December 14, someone went into a home in the 400 block of Bridgeford Drive while the resident was out for a few minutes, and stole a wallet. It looked like the burglar got in through a rear window. (2017-83037)

Industrial, theft, arrest made: At 10:15 a.m. December 17, officers responded to a restaurant parking lot in the 1400 block of Blue Oaks Blvd, to a report of a theft that had just occurred—someone stole a purse from an unlocked vehicle. A witness had seen a man snooping around the victim’s car. Officers stopped a suspect matching the description on foot in the area, and recovered some of the victim’s stolen property. Officers arrested the 43-year-old Elverta man on suspicion of theft, possession of stolen property and possession of burglar’s tools. (2017-83760)

Stanford, burglary: Between 4:50 and 6:10 a.m. December 17, someone forced entry to a home in the 6100 block of Great Basin Drive while the owners were away, rummaged around and stole small valuables. (2017-83773)

Beat 6 (west Roseville)
Sun City, garage burglary: Sometime December 18 when the garage door was open, someone went into a garage in the 7000 block of Firefly Green Lane and stole a set of golf clubs.  (2017-84252)

West Park, theft from vehicles: Overnight December 16/17, someone cruised around residential streets in the area of Hayden Parkway and Bob Doyle Drive, checking car door handles and stealing items from unlocked cars. Officers are investigating. (2017-83736)

Fiddyment Farms, drug arrest: At 11:58 a.m. December 18, an officer stopped an older limousine on Fiddyment Road at Old Coach Road, and found marijuana and evidence of drug sales. The officer cited the driver, a 51-year-old Sacramento man, on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale. (2017-83992)
