Currently accepting applications for Firefighter I/II

The City of Roseville is currently accepting applications from qualified candidates for the position of Firefighter Paramedic I/II.  Job applications can be found here:

Successful candidates must possess a combination of the qualifications outlined in the job specifications found here. These qualifications may include the following special licenses and certificates*: 

· Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license or higher (Class B or A) by date of appointment. A Firefighter endorsement is required by completion of the Roseville Fire Department Training Academy.

·  Possession of a California Firefighter I Certificate as issued by the California Office of the State Fire Marshal (OSFM) or equivalent. See job specification here for alternative patterns to qualify.

· Possession of a California Paramedic License or current National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic Certificate by date of appointment.

As part of the application process a CPAT (Candidate Physical Ability Test) card issued between March 19, 2019 and March 20, 2020 is required. Information regarding the test is available here.  

The City provides a monthly salary of $6,270 to $7,830 for the position of Firefighter Paramedic I/II in addition to incentive pay for certifications and benefits.

Recruitment Open House

Those who are interested in applying for the positions of Firefighter Paramedic I/II or Fire Engineer are welcome to come to an Open House on March 4 from 9-11 am at Fire Station 1 located at 80 Lincoln St.

This is an opportunity for potential candidates to ask questions of current department members, learn about the department and its equipment, and ask benefit or recruitment questions of Human Resource representatives who will be on site.

There is no RSVP needed. This is a voluntary, drop in event.
