Annual Holiday “Shop with a Cop” Event is Coming December 14th

On December 14, 2013 at 8:30 a.m., come out to Target, located at 10451 Fairway Dr, to see officers from the Roseville Police Department and Placer County law enforcement agencies as they arrive with over 70 kids who have been awarded a shopping spree due to their positive accomplishments. At Target the children have the opportunity to purchase school clothing and other necessities. Each child will be partnered with a police officer for the event and driven to Target in a patrol car. The procession of police cars with over 70 excited kids will be a sight to see.

What is "Shop with a Cop"?
Teachers, Police officers, and community members nominate local students (high school and younger) to "Shop with a Cop" during monthly shopping trips. Nominees are selected to participate in the shopping trip based on financial need and their positive accomplishments. Positive accomplishments include improving their performance and behavior in school, acts of kindness and service, or making other positive changes in their lives. Every month, the “Shop with a Cop” team takes a group of selected students shopping at Target for school clothes and other necessities. In December, the team plans an extra-large and extra-special countywide shopping event, in partnership with our fellow Placer County law enforcement agencies.

“Shop with a Cop” is a non-profit organization supported by Target, the Rotary Club of Roseville, California Tactical, Chic-fil-a, the Tommy Apostolos Fund, the Roseville Police Activities League (RPAL), and other generous local organizations, businesses and individuals.
