Data is created daily by the City as a normal course of business. Roseville’s Open Data portal currently provides 17 datasets for public consumption, including an ArcGIS portal for GIS data. This data encourages civic engagement and provides the community with an opportunity to make a difference through data. The City successfully completed its 2018 Open Data Compliance Report highlighting the vision and goals for open data. The objective is to go beyond simply making data assessable, but rather focus on data-driven storytelling. This new concept will incorporate a compelling narrative to provide context to the data and allow the community to easily visualize the data.
