The Planning Division provides professional guidance and technical assistance to the City Council, planning commissions and the public; implements and monitors city growth and development policies; accepts, processes and analyzes development applications and recommends action on such applications to the Council, Planning Commission and Design Committee. The Planning Division also acts on items such as administrative permits, sign permits, home occupations and code enforcement.
Planning Fee Schedule - Effective October 15, 2017
All permits are subject to an added 3 percent Technology Fee pursuant to Ordinance #5014.
What's new about Parking in Front and Street-side Setbacks

Learn about development project proposals by:
Checking with the Planning Division at 774-5276. Staff are available Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm. Applications are accepted at the Permit Center counter daily from 8 am to 4 pm.
Checking with your RCONA representative, who receives notices of all neighborhood projects requiring a public hearing. This advance notice during staff evaluation of the project gives RCONA representatives an opportunity to learn about a project and provide feedback before the public hearing.
