Electric Vehicle & Electric Vehicle Charger Rebates

Roseville Electric Utility offers rebates for the purchase of electric vehicles and electric vehicle level II chargers.

We are currently offering the following rebates:

New Vehicles - $300.00

New Motorcycle - $200.00

Level 2 Charger - $500.00

Rebate Guidelines

• Contact the City of Roseville’s building department (916-774-5332) for permit requirements.

• Applications must be postmarked no later than 180 days after purchase/lease of new electric vehicles and Level 2 charger.

•  Applications will be accepted on a first come, first served basis, until funds are depleted.

• The level 2 charger must be installed at and the current vehicle registration must be at a residential dwelling unit receiving electricity from Roseville Electric Utility, with a current electric service account. The customer account information must match the DMV vehicle registration information.

• Qualifying Level 2 (240-volt) charger must be: new and unused, certified by Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL Listed) or ETL Listed. Chargers that are portable, resold, rebuilt, received from warranty insurance claims, or new parts installed in existing units are not eligible for rebates under this program. The Level 2 charger must be pedestal or wall-mounted and installed by a licensed contractor.

• The electric vehicle listed in this application must be DOT approved for highway application. Golf carts, neighborhood carts, and electric scooters are not qualifying vehicles under this program.

• Incomplete applications will be rejected. Applications must include all required information, including documentation of vehicle registration and documentation of the registration fees.

Before applying online, make sure you have the following:

• Roseville Electric utility account number.

• Copy of vehicle registration or a copy of the sales or lease contract.

• Level 2 electric vehicle chargers only - submit a paid in full invoice.

Terms and Conditions

• By applying for this rebate you acknowledge that the rebate influenced your decision to install the energy efficient measure at your residence.

• Customers may be eligible for additional rebates if there is a change in residence.

• Rebates may not exceed the cost of the energy efficient equipment.

• Roseville Electric Utility disclaims any and all liability, loss or damage that may arise as a result of the applicant’s or contractor’s participation in this program.

• Roseville Electric Utility is not responsible for items lost or delayed in the mail, nor any remittance delayed due to incorrect rebate applications.

• Roseville Electric Utility is not responsible for any taxes that may be imposed as a result of your receipt of any financial rebates from Roseville Electric Utility.

• Roseville Electric Utility reserves the right to verify both the efficiency and installation of equipment.

• Roseville Electric Utility may share my name, address, electricity usage or other needed information with a consultant for the purpose of on-site pre and post inspection.
