Description

Starting Friday, January 2 through Saturday, January 31, our hands-on Create at the Library activity will be Coffee Filter Snowflakes that are guaranteed to flurry up some creativity. Patrons are encouraged to donate their snowflake to help us transform each library into a winter wonderland—but they’re also welcome to take their frosty creation home to enjoy. Available while supplies last.
How it works:
- Fold your coffee filter into triangles.
- Snip little shapes and patterns along the edges.
- Unfold to reveal your one-of-a-kind snowflake design.
- Add it to our blizzard of decorations—or take it home
to display!
Early literacy tip: Just like no two snowflakes are alike, every child’s creation (and every
child’s learning) is unique. Folding, cutting, and opening the snowflakes
builds fine motor skills and shows children how small changes make big results—an early lesson in cause
and effect.
