Roseville Electric is looking at measures to address a considerable shortfall in the year ahead.

These are challenging times for the electric utility industry, especially here in California. Our state is grappling with unprecedented drought and a substantial reduction in hydroelectric resources in addition to skyrocketing fuel prices. These factors are causing a significant and rapid increase in our power supply costs.

proposed rate increase table

This proposed solution would be in place from January 1, 2023 through December 31, 2024. Instituting a surcharge in place of a base rate increase gives us more time to understand if the energy price spike we are currently experiencing is temporary or if it is part of a larger move upward in the energy markets.
