Welcome to the Roseville Police Department Citizens Online Police Reporting System. If this is an EMERGENCY or a crime in progress, please do not file a report here-- call 911 immediately.

Online reporting is only for the reporting of low-level property crime reports that happened within the city limits of Roseville, where there are NO investigative leads, and are primarily being reported for the information of the police department and insurance purposes.

If you know or have an idea who committed the crime; or if you or someone else saw the person who committed the crime; or if you or someone else saw their vehicle or obtained a license plate number; or if there is video surveillance of the suspect available; or the crime was a burglary (unlawful entry into your home, including the garage, or your business), STOP. Do not file your report online. Instead, call dispatch at (916) 774-5000 extension 1, and a police employee will contact you to take your report.

Please confirm the following to find out if online citizen police report filing is right for you:

  • This is not an emergency? (If it is, call 9-1-1.)
  • This incident occurred within the city limits of Roseville, California? (If not, call the law enforcement agency with jurisdiction over the location of the crime.)
  • You do not know who committed this crime, no one that you know of saw the perpetrator or their vehicle, and you have NO investigative leads, such as witnesses, a license plate, or video surveillance available? (If you have any such leads, call dispatch instead at the number above.)
  • You are not reporting a burglary (an unlawful intrusion into your home or garage, or your business). If it was a burglary, call dispatch so that an employee can contact you to take a report.
  • This did not occur on a State Freeway? If it occurred on a California state highway, such as I-80 or State Route 65, contact CHP at 916-663-3344.
  • If none of the above apply, you may file your report online. Please make sure to turn off your pop-up blocking software before filing the report.

Upon completion of this report process you will:

  • See the words: "Your online police report has been submitted" showing that your police report is complete.
  • Be given a police report case number.
  • Be able to print a copy of the police report to keep for your records.

    Please Note:

  • All cases filed using the Citizens Online Police Reporting System will be reviewed.
  • Upon review, if further investigation of your case is needed, you may be contacted.
  • If staff has no further questions about your report, you will receive an email with your case number and a copy of your report. No one will contact you.
  • If you have any further questions, or you obtain more information about your case, call police dispatch at 916-774-5000 extension 1. Be sure to tell them that you have already filed an on-line report, and give them your report number.
  • Filing a false police report is a crime.
