Reopen Energy Smart consists of two ways to save. Our enhanced rebate program offers energy-efficiency rebates up to 200% above normal levels and our energy audit & direct install program offers a no-cost audit and direct installation of a smart thermostat and LED lights for qualifying small to medium businesses.

Enhanced Rebates

Small to medium business food service rebate

Reserve funds

Reserve funds for your commercial food service project before the materials are purchased and work has begun.

Once approved and the project reservation is confirmed by Roseville Electric Utility, installation may begin.

• Applicants should contact the City of Roseville’s Building Department (916-774-5332) for building permit requirements

• Complete and submit RESERVATION REQUEST – FORM A, including the RESERVATION CHECK-LIST.

• Provide the manufacturer’s specification sheets for all proposed new equipment.

Rebate

Installation confirmation

After the installation is complete:


• Submit any changes in quantity or products on an updated Reservation Request Form A, a Lighting Schedule,and all other supporting documents, as required.

Complete, sign and submit INSTALLATION CONFIRMATION – FORM B to Roseville Electric Utility.

• Roseville Electric Utility will review package and perform necessary audits to verify project compliance for rebates.

Request rebate payment

After the project installation is complete:

(Form B and Form C can be submitted at the same time if no changes have occurred.)

Complete, sign and submit PAYMENT REQUEST – FORM C to Roseville Electric Utility.

• Attach the itemized invoices for products, labor and rebates. The manufacturer name and model number of each item installed must appear on the invoice. If the contractor is receiving the incentive, a credit for the rebate amount shall be on final invoice.

Rebate payments will only be paid to the customer of record, the installing contractor or their third party corporate office. Once approved, rebate payments take approximately 6-8 weeks.

Small to medium business business rebate

With the exception of HVAC tune ups, reserve funds before the materials are purchased and work has begun. Installation may begin after the project is approved and the reservation is confirmed by Roseville Electric Utility.

• For lighting projects, Applicants should contact the City of Roseville’s Building Department (916-774-5332) for building permit requirements.

• See Reservation Checklist below for all required documents to be submitted at time of reservation.

Audit

Synergy Companies is a Roseville Electric Utility authorized contractor who is responsible for administering this program. 

Program details

You may be eligible to receive a NO-COST energy audit and free energy-efficient upgrades for your small to medium business.

Roseville Electric Utility has contracted with Synergy Companies to offer energy-efficient upgrades that may include:

Energy Audits: Your small to medium business will be assessed with energy-efficient recommendations to increase comfort and lower energy bills.

Smart thermostat: Replace qualifying thermostats with a new smart thermostat that is designed to assist in using heating and cooling more efficiently.

LED lighting: Upgrade bulbs to LED and help reduce lighting usage by up to 75%.

How to participate

Participation in the Reopen Energy Smart Energy Audit & Direct Install Program is easy for eligible customers. To take advantage of its benefits:

• Visit Synergy Companies online at synergycompanies.com or call them at (877) 836-1329 to schedule an
appointment.

• A Synergy associate will perform a walk-through of your small to medium business to identify eligible measures.

• Installation and service is scheduled and takes place at a convenient time for your business.

• The customer may be selected to participate in a telephone survey or for an on-site inspection by a representative of Roseville Electric Utility or Synergy EE.


Program administration

This program is Administered by Synergy EE, a third party energy-efficiency implementer specialist and a certified ENERGY STAR® contractor, the program serves Roseville Electric Utility customers at no cost.

Program funds will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis until such funds are no longer available. This program may be modified or terminated without prior notice.

Roseville Electric makes no warranty, whether expressed or implied, including warranty of merchantability or fitness for particular purpose of selected goods and services. Customers who choose to participate in this program are not obligated to purchase any additional services offered.
