A stolen vehicle drove through a license plate reader in Roseville. Officers located the stolen vehicle driving on Interstate 80 and stopped the vehicle in Sacramento County. Two occupants in the vehicle were arrested for being in possession of the stolen vehicle, as well as other theft and drug-related charges. The two occupants were transported to the South Placer Jail where they were booked into custody. |

The victim was participating in a vehicle auction on eBay. He retrieved notification from the seller that he had won the auction for the vehicle for $18,500. The victim received a confirmation email from what appeared to be “eBay” and then followed the directions to wire transfer the $18,500 to an individual in Illinois. The victim and the “seller” exchanged text messages regarding the shipment of the vehicle. When the vehicle failed to arrive on the scheduled date the victim realized this was probably a fraudulent purchase/scam. CRIME TIP: Scammers often pretend to be someone you trust, like a government official, a family member, a charity, or a company you do business with. Don't send money or give out personal information in response to an unexpected request - whether it comes as a text, a phone call, or an email. |

The suspects walked onto Roseville High School campus and approached a student. They pushed the student against the wall and began going through his pockets. They eventually threw the student to the ground and began punching and kicking him. The suspects took the students shoes as well as his head phones and then walked away. The student was not injured from this incident and the suspects were arrest and booked. |
