Placer Alert Emergency Notification Sytstem Test

A test of the county’s emergency notification system, Placer Alert (formally known as Alert Roseville), will be conducted throughout Placer County on Tuesday, January 15, at 10:00 a.m.

Those who are residents in either Placer, Yolo or Sacramento counties who have signed up for the alerts will receive a text, call or email depending on the preferences selected during your account sign up.

There is no need to be alarmed, this is only a test to ensure our notification system is operating properly and to make sure the public is aware of the vital role Placer Alert plays in notifying the community during a real emergency.

In the event of a critical incident, you will receive crucial information and instructions through Placer Alert.

You will only receive a message during this test if you have already signed up for Placer Alert.

If you have not yet signed up, please visit www.placer-alert.org to register your cell phones, home phones and email addresses.

Opting into Placer Alert will give you real-time notifications when emergencies, disasters and evacuations are impacting your area, helping you to make the best decision to keep you and your loved ones safe.

Please share this message with friends and family members living within Placer, Sacramento or Yolo counties.
