Please note: The below locations are pass sale outlets only. Staff at these locations are not equipped to answer transit questions. 

  • Maidu Community Center

  • Roseville Sports Center
    1545 Pleasant Grove Blvd., Roseville, CA (map it)
    Monday – Friday: 5:30 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
    Saturday – Sunday: 8 a.m. – 3 p.m.
All fares are non-refundable and cannot be exchanged, used to purchase other fare, or to pay no-show fees. Fares are governed by Roseville Municipal Code §14.30.
Failure to pay the proper fare is violation of California Penal Code Section 640.

Summer Youth Bus Pass
Student: $10.00

Passes are valid for unlimited rides June 1-August 31, and can be used by youth ages 5-18. The
Summer Youth Bus Pass goes on sale May 1 each year. Valid on Roseville Transit, Placer County Transit, Auburn Transit, and Lincoln Transit. No photo ID card is necessary to purchase or use the Summer Youth Bus Pass.

* Must present a valid Roseville Resident Commuter ID Card each time you board.

Commuter Service has two fare categories for all riders: "Resident" and "Non-resident". The only discount fare category applicable to the Commuter Service is "Resident". Age or disability do not qualify riders for discounts on the Commuter Service.

Discount Fare Categories

The following passengers are eligible to pay the discounted fare by showing the driver an approved form of identification when boarding.

  • Local Service:
    • Persons with disabilities: Disabled Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Medicare card holders: Medicare card (accepted on Local Service only).
    • Senior citizens (ages 60+): DMV Senior Citizen Photo ID card, or Senior Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Students (ages 5-18, through grade 12): Student Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency, or current middle or high school photo ID card. College ID card is not accepted. No photo ID card is necessary for ages 12 and under, or when using the Summer Youth Bus Pass.
  • Commuter Service:
    • Roseville Resident Commuter: Resident Commuter Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit. (Bring your City of Roseville utility statement to the Alternative Transportation office to obtain your Resident Commuter Photo ID.)
    • Reverse Commuters (passengers who board in Sacramento and commute to Roseville for work): No Photo ID card is necessary
  • Dial-A-Ride:
    • Persons with disabilities: Disabled Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Senior citizens (ages 60+): DMV Senior Citizen Photo ID card, or Senior Photo ID card issued by Roseville Transit or another transit agency.
    • Americans with Disabilies Act (ADA): Read more about the ADA discount.
New, renewal, and replacement ID cards are $3 (with the exception of ADA and Client Aide cards, which are free).

How to Obtain a Discount Photo ID Card
  1. Complete an application: Download it online or pick one up at the Alternative Transportation office (see address below)
  2. Bring a photo ID
  3. Bring your required evidence (described on the application)
  4. Pay the $3 non-refundable processing fee (with the exception of initial ADA and Client Aide cards, which are free). All replacement cards are $3. 
It takes about 15 minutes to complete the process.

Renewing Your Discount Photo ID Card


If you would like to renew your ID card and maintain eligibility to pay the discount fare, please provide your current City of Roseville utility bill (for Roseville Resident Commuters), or current SSI/SSDI award letter, valid CA DMV placard receipt, Department of VA Service Connected ID, or City of Roseville Disabled Certification Form (for Disabled Photo ID Cards). Evidence may be submitted via fax, mail, or in person.

All renewal ID cards are $3 (with the exception of ADA and Client ID renewals, which are free)

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Passengers with disabilities that prevent them from using the Local bus system may apply for ADA status on Roseville Transit Dial-A-Ride. ADA passengers must show the driver one of the following forms of identification:

  • Roseville Transit ADA Discount Photo ID card
    • Discount fare for the ADA cardholder
    • One companion at the discounted fare 
  • Roseville Transit ADA with Attendant Photo ID card
    • Discount fare for the ADA cardholder
    • Free fare for the attendant
    • Discount fare for one companion

New, renewal, and replacement ADA cards are free.

Roseville Transit will honor ADA cards from another transit agency for up to 21 days. Visit the ADA Services page for more information on ADA eligibility, or call (916) 774-5293, TDD: (916) 774-5220.

Client Aide ID Card effective Feb. 2, 2009

The Client Aide ID card is accepted on Local and Dial-A-Ride service. It is available to qualified service provider staff who travel with clients or students who are unable to safely travel alone. The ID allows the cardholder to board for free and is valid only when the aide is accompanying clients or students. Showing the ID upon boarding authorizes the aide's clients or students to travel at the discounted fare without needing their own discount ID cards.

Stop & Shop Validation

If you spend $10 or more at the Galleria at Roseville, you can receive a free trip home on Roseville Transit (offer excludes purchases made a Nordstrom, Macy's, JCPenney, and Sears).

To take advantage of this offer, bring your purchase receipt to a concierge desk during mall hours and receive a free bus ticket for Roseville Transit Local Service(offer not valid for Dial-A-Ride or Commuter Service). Tickets must be claimed on the same day as purchase, and are valid on the date of issue only.

This program is made possible through an agreement with Westfield.
