News ImageSaugstad Park to Darling Way trail construction
Construction is planned for August through October 2010 for the Saugstad Park to Darling Way trail project. This trail will extend along the east side of Dry Creek from the existing path in Saugstad Park to Darling Way. The Bicycle Master Plan and the Riverside Gateway Specific Plan identify this as a priority project because it will provide an important connection to Riverside Avenue and the Hillcrest neighborhood.

Bring your bike and helmet to this free safety event, 9 a.m. - noon, Saturday, Oct. 2 at Heritage Oak Elementary School. Roseville's 16th annual family-friendly bicycle safety event features fun obstacle courses, riding demonstrations, helmet fittings, bicycle safety inspections, entertainment, bike-related giveaways for all children, and grand prize drawings for bicycles! Refreshments available for purchase.

News ImageSection of Miner's Ravine Trail temporarily closed
Due to construction on Interstate 80, the Miner's Ravine Trail is temporarily closed between Harding Boulevard and Sculpture Park from approximately June 1 through October 15. Detour information is posted on the trail. All other areas of the trail remain open.

Help support funding for local youth safety programs by signing up for Kids' Plates—license plates that have heart, star, hand, and plus symbols. The proceeds from the sale of these plates have recently provided 60 bicycle helmets for fitting and distribution to children in our community through this fall's Roseville Bikefest.
