Seniors in Roseville

Roseville has a variety of programs, classes, special events and services for adults 50+. Whether you prefer to be active or not so active, we are sure that you'll find something worthwhile and enjoyable to take part in.

Classes, Special Events & Activities
Bridge and Spanish, along with a variety of fitness and personal enrichment classes as well as a myriad of social and educational activities are held at the Maidu Community Center. It's a great place to meet people, learn a new hobby or skill, get fit, obtain information and just have fun!

Senior Center
The Senior Wing is located in the Maidu Community Center where the majority of city's programs for older adults take place. The Maidu Senior Desk is the place to call
(916-774-5960)or visit for information about programs and services. Volunteers staff the senior desk Monday - Thursday from 8:30am - 3:00pm and Friday from 8:30 - 11:30am.

 

Senior Services
Legal Assistance, Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (H.I.C.A.P.), Tax Assistance, and Elder I.D. are free services offered at the Maidu Center's Senior Wing. For more information or to obtain an appointment, call (916) 774-5960. All services are provided by local agency trained volunteers.

Support Groups
There are six (6) support groups held at the Maidu Community Center. They include: Alzheimers, Caregivers, Parkinsons, Widowed Persons and Visually Impaired. For more information about these groups, please click on the "Support Groups" title above.

 
Living Facilities
In Roseville, you will find many choices of living facilities for all levels of income, including very low to moderate income. To view a list of affordable rental options, visit the Roseville's Housing Division website, or call (916) 774-5270.
 
Senior Citizen Commission
This is a seven-member group of Roseville residents who serve as an Advisory Group to the City Council. Issues relating to recreation, housing, transportation and others are discussed at the quarterly meetings.
