The City of Roseville will be offering one pre-competitive team and one competitive team this spring and summer. The Sharks pre-competitive swim team is open to boys and girls ages 5-14. This program offers a similar experience to a summer recreation swim team without the time commitment for Saturday swim meets. For a more competitive experience, boys and girls ages 5-18 are welcome to tryout in early spring for the Woodcreek Sea Wolves. This team relies heavily on parent participation and volunteerism. Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 14 volunteer hours during swim meets.
Pre-Competitive Swim Team
Roseville Sharks
Program Details: This team will practice 4 days a week, for 45 minutes to an hour each day. The team will have two inter-squad meets, and one organized water polo game through out the summer. Three days a week will be focused on competitive swimming (strokes, starts, turns, and conditioning), and the fourth day will be focused on water polo. The goal of this program is to be able to allow more children to participate, as well as prepare them for competitive aquatics in the future.
Prerequisites: Children must be able to swim 50 yards unassisted. Refunds will be given to those who cannot meet this requirement on the first day of practice.

Competitive Swim Team
Woodcreek Sea Wolves
Program Details: The Woodcreek Sea Wolves are made up of 270 swim team members from ages 5-18. The Woodcreek Sea Wolves have won many championships including 2006-2008 VFCAL Championships. The Sea Wolves practice at the Roseville Aquatics Complex, located at 3051 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd.
Beginning February 1, the tryout handbook will be available. The handbook provides information such as registration fees and what to expect at practices and meets including dates, times, and locations. In addition, it provides a list of items every swimmer needs and extra items they may want. For more information on the Sea Wolves, visit their website at www.woodcreekseawolves.com.

Registration Priorities:
Priority 1 - Returning swimmers to the Sea Wolves.
Priority 2 - Siblings of current team members who meet the minimum requirments.
Priority 3 - Roseville residents who meet the minimum requirments.
Priority 4 - Open tryouts; residents and/or non-residents who meet the minimum requirments.
Tryouts: Tryouts are subject to available openings in each age group. Team tryouts are held at the Roseville Aquatics Complex, 3051 Woodcreek Oaks Blvd.
"Tryout A" - Saturday, March 17
Tryout A will be held for those age groups not filled after the returning swimmer registration deadline. Please check this page after Thursday, March 8 to confirm openings in your child's age group and gender. Both residents and non-residents may tryout. In order to tryout, Roseville residents must provide proof of residency.
