Host the most unique party in town at the Maidu Museum and Historic Site. City residents and non-profit groups receive a discount. Free parking and easy access make the museum a convenient location for guests and caterers.

Unique Parties, Weddings & Memorials
The museum is a great location for celebrating birthdays, holidays, weddings, remembrances, memorial services or other special times with family, friends or business associates. The museum includes murals, mezzanine art gallery, exhibits, touch tables, gift shop, restrooms, small kitchen, outdoor patio and amphitheater.

Availability:
Weekday evenings 5pm - 10pm
Saturdays 2pm - 10pm
Sundays 8am - 10pm

Fees:
Museum Rental $125 per hour / $110 resident discount


 
Activities for Children
(3 included for birthdays)

Parties for children are held at the Maidu Activity Center, adjacent to the museum. For children's parties, renters must provide 1 adult chaperon for every 5 children. The Gift Shop sells unique objects and native craft items, perfect for party favors. Payment is due two weeks prior to the rental. Insurance is required for parties and events.

A “pre-party” orientation is required for these renter-supervised activities.

Campfire Celebrations
Gather around the campfire in the amphitheater for a unique birthday celebration or special outdoor gathering! Fee includes a staffed campfire built and ready to enjoy, as well as sharpened roasting sticks and marshmallows, access to museum foyer and restrooms, and access to picnic tables. Payment is due two weeks prior to the rental. Insurance is required for all campfire rentals.

Meetings
The museum is available for group meetings. Rental includes one of the exhibit halls plus restrooms and individual seating for 40 or tables and chairs to seat 30. Payment is due two weeks prior to the rental. Insurance may be required.
