Beginning April 28, we will begin conducting a vegetation control project with 250–400 goats in the open space and preserve areas. Goats provide an innovative, environmentally sensitive way to eliminate fire hazards such as grass by keeping open space vegetation under control.
Celebrate and experience California Indian culture during Yomen: A Spring Celebration 10am-3pm on Sunday, April 27. Come to the Maidu Museum's biggest event of the year and bring the entire family for FREE. See tribal dancers, basket weavers, grind acorns, make an elderberry flute, shop at the craft fair and try the tasty Indian tacos.
