As we prepared for the 2017-18 Fiscal Year, all General Fund departments (Parks, Recreation & Libraries, Police, Fire, Public Works, and Development Services) were asked to develop a net zero budget. The challenge of a flat budget is that we need to reduce services to absorb increasing costs and unfunded mandates. In addition to developing a flat budget, General Fund departments were also asked to make recommendations to help close the $2 million projected budget gap. Throughout the budget process, we examined many scenarios with the goal of balancing fiscal soundness and minimizing impacts to customers.
The rubber surfacing areas of the playgrounds will be closed for repair from June 26th thru June 30th. These areas will be fenced off from the rest of the playground including the ADA access to both areas.

Have you heard about our newest water fun program? Socializing Through Aquatic Recreation (STAR) is a dedicated time for children with special needs to splash around at the Mike Shellito Indoor Pool spray ground and to participate in other water-related activities.
Field information and updates will be posted Monday-Friday by 3pm. If a field is marked "reinspect" the field must be evaluated by the user group at practice or game time for playability. The user group must use the playability criteria outlined in the Inclement Weather Policy when making a determination.
