Legal Assistance, Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (H.I.C.A.P.), Tax Assistance, and Elder I.D. are free services offered at the Maidu Center's Senior Wing. Elder ID Program
This photo registration service (for Roseville residents only) helps families of those who have Alzheimer's disease or other memory impairments. It is used by local Police & Sheriff Departments to identify seniors who may wander off or get lost. Call Kate Miller at (916) 774-5978 to schedule an appointment. Handyman Program
This free service is provided by the City of Roseville and Seniors First. You must be 62 years+ and a Roseville resident on a fixed income to receive this service. Call Seniors First at 1-800-878-9222.
Health Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP)
This free service (Wednesdays between 9am and 12noon) provides a state-registered counselor who can help you with questions or problems relating to Medicare (Parts A & B), Medicare billing and claims, managed care, supplemental insurance and Long Term Care insurance. This program is for those 65+ (or soon to be 65) or disabled adults on Social Security. Call (916) 774-5960 for an appointment.

Seniors First specializes in services and resources for seniors and their families, including housing and care options. SeniorLink is a free service through Seniors First for seniors who reside in Placer County. It is funded in part by Area 4 Agency on Aging. Tax Assistance
Free tax assistance is provided by trained AARP volunteers for seniors with low to moderate income from February 1st through April 15th. Appointments for Roseville and Granite Bay residents can be made by calling the Maidu Senior Desk at (916) 774-5960. All others should call (888) 227-7669 for the tax aide program nearest you.
