City of Roseville and Placer Valley Tourism Advance Plans on Multi-Use Sports Complex
News ImageThe City of Roseville and Placer Valley Tourism are moving forward on plans to build a regional park with eight to 12 multi-use fields to strengthen Placer County’s draw as a major sports and recreation destination.

The Regional Sports Complex, located along the western edge of the Roseville city limits, will serve youth and amateur soccer, lacrosse, football, rugby and various other long field-specific sports teams.

Free Wi-Fi in Vernon Street Town Square
News ImageIn time for event season, visitors to the area around the Vernon Street Town Square in Downtown Roseville will now be able to connect to the internet via a free wireless network thanks to a partnership between the City of Roseville and Consolidated Communications. The free Wi-Fi service is available along Vernon Street between Taylor Street and Lincoln Street.

The Vernon Street Town Square has attracted more than 100,000 visitors since it opened in August 2013, hosting a variety of events including concerts, festivals, farmers markets, wine tastings, yoga classes and children's story time.

Drought Delays Opening Of Town Square Spray Ground
News ImageAlthough drought conditions have necessitated a delayed opening and reduced hours of operation, the Vernon Street Town Square spray ground will be turned on for public enjoyment beginning Tuesday, May 26. Due to drought concerns, we are continuing the reduced hours established last year of noon-7pm daily (subject to change to due to events).

Vietnam Veterans Memorial replica to visit Roseville
News Image"The Moving Wall", a half-sized replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C. will be at Royer Park in Roseville from 10 a.m., Thursday May 28 through 4 p.m, Monday, June 1 as part of its nationwide tour.

The public is invited to a dedication ceremony at 10 a.m., Thursday, May 28. The Moving Wall will then be on display and open to the public 24 hours a day during its stay in Roseville.
