Apply for RPD's fall Police Business Academy
Learn how to keep your business safe and secure
We're now accepting applications for our next Police Business Academy. In four information-jammed sessions, we'll show you how to prevent, detect and handle crimes that occur in your business. Each session runs from 8 to 11:30 a.m. at the Roseville Police Department on October 8, 10, 15 and 17. Attendance at all four sessions is required. The course is free.
If you're a Roseville small business owner or manager without professional loss prevention services, a commercial property manager, or an employee concerned about crime and security issues, this course is for you. Our instructors from the Roseville Police Department, Placer County District Attorney's Office and other experts will talk about topics including:
- Violence in the workplace
- Screening and hiring employees
- Counterfeit currency
- Drugs in the workplace
- Personal safety
- Citizen's arrests
- Northern California Organized Retail Crime Association: sharing and collaborating with other businesses to detect and prevent crime
- Navigating the court process after an arrest
