CIO - IT Communication (Looking Forward)
May 25, 2011
Previously we wrote about how we as a city partnered together (One City) to use technology to help our organization better serve our Roseville citizens, businesses and visitors. Many successful technology projects were completed last year and we look forward to continuing this positive and productive partnership. You can view your technology achievement in the Year in Review on the intranet.
The next 12-18 months brings on a new set of exciting technology projects. Attached is a listing of projects the Information Technology department will be partnering with you on to help City business gain efficiencies with new or upgraded technology to allow for more convenient ways to do business with us, to continue the tradition of high quality customer service, and to prepare for the challenges of being a Metropolitan City.
A few examples of the project targeted for next year are: CAD/RMS replacement, the completion of Enterprise Asset Management (Phase2), and upgrades to Permits, Workforce and Outlook Exchange Server. The project listing will be kept current and as projects are approved, they will be added to this list posted on the intranet Project Listing.
As you go to meetings or conferences this year we would like to hear about new and exciting technical advances that could help your business. If you do not see your project on the list or have comments or concerns please email the IT Planning and Administration division at: ITPlanningandAdministration@roseville.ca.us
