What's "Shop with a Cop"? Police officers, teachers and others nominate local students (high school and younger) to "shop with a cop" throughout the year. Students can be nominated for positive accomplishments like getting good grades, improving their performance and behavior in school, acts of kindness and service, or making other positive changes in their lives. Their financial need is also considered. Every month, the team takes a group of pre-selected students shopping at Target for school clothes and other necessities. The Shop with a Cop team is busy planning an extra-large and extra-special countywide shopping event in December, in partnership with our fellow Placer County law enforcement agencies.
Shop with a Cop is a non-profit organization supported by Target, the Tommy Apostolos Fund, the Roseville Police Activities League, and other generous local organizations, businesses and individuals.
