Grant Street Closure in Downtown Roseville
Grant Street between Oak and Vernon Streets in downtown Roseville will be closed to vehicle and pedstrian traffic from Thursday, October 11, 2012 through the rest of the year due to construction on the new town square.
Taylor Street, Washington Boulevard, and Lincoln Street will be open to thru traffic, and pedestrian access will be maintained on both the Vernon and Oak Street sides of the Civic Center.
Grant Street improvements include utility upgrades, diagonal parking spaces, improved landscaping, and the installation of a new mid-block crosswalk between the parking garage and the Civic Center.
The town square is scheduled to be open in early 2013. It will include a stage, water feature and areas for community festivals and fairs.
Other infrastructure improvements, a traffic calming roundabout, new bridges over Dry Creek connecting Royer Park to downtown and relocation of Fire Station 1 are all part of downtown enhancements scheduled to be completed in 2012-2013.
