Neighborhood Watch is one of the most effective ways to prevent crime and help revitalize neighborhoods. Neighborhood Watch is a crime prevention program that enlists the active participation of residents, in cooperation with law enforcement, to reduce crime in their communities.
If you're interested in organizing a neighborhood watch group, please come to our next training session Tuesday, February 24 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Roseville Police Department's Mark White Community Room, 1051 Junction Blvd. You'll learn:
Why you should start a neighborhood watch group
The benefits of neighborhood watchNeighborhood Watch helps neighbors get to know each other and learn how to work together. At Neighborhood Watch meetings, residents are taught how to recognize and report suspicious activities in their neighborhoods. The extra "eyes and ears" of aware neighbors help the police catch criminals. Neighborhood Watch can reduce crime and make neighborhoods safer places to live.

We'll also give you printed materials to help start your group. We'd love it if you'd RSVP by emailing us at PDCommunityServices@roseville.ca.us, so we can make sure to have enough materials, but walk-ins are welcome too. Read on for more reasons to join us!
Neighborhood Watch is not necessarily a huge time commitment. You can organize and launch a group in just one meeting.
