Annual Poetry Contest


About the Competition

Open to all youth, grades 1-12.

Entry forms will be accepted January 31 - February 28, 2015 at any Roseville Library or by using the online entry form.

Each winning poem is printed in a booklet to be distributed at the libraries. Join us for the Awards Ceremony at the Vernon Street Town Square on April 15, 2015 at 4:30 p.m. (Sponsored by the Friends of the Roseville Public Library).

Rules: Please Follow Carefully

  1. Poems must be the writer's own work and may not be submitted without the poet's knowledge and consent.
  2. All poets must be in grades 1-12 .
  3. All entries must be received by February 28, 2015. No entries will be returned.
  4. Entry must not exceed 18 lines. It can be free or rhyming verse.
  5. Only one entry per poet.
  6. Electronic submissions are preferred. Please use the form below.
  7. Poems not submitted electronically must be typed or written in blue or black ink on the entry form. Please do not staple or tape poem to entry form.
  8. Decisions of the judging committees are final.
  9. The poetry competition is not responsible for late, lost, damaged, incomplete, or misdirected entries. Entries are not returned after the contest, so please make a copy for your records. All entries become property of the City of Roseville.
