The City of Roseville continually assesses and redesigns its organization to increase efficiency and eliminate redundancy. Lean Six Sigma (LSS) methodologies and tools are used to analyze data, provide a consistent structure for increasing efficiency, and instill quality assurance measures into the ways the City delivers service. Within the IT Department, LSS is being used to effect positive changes within the organization and accomplish the following:

• Purpose – promote efficiency and awareness of quality improvements.
• Objectives – reduce cost of delivering services and eliminate redundancy.
• Success Criteria – measure results against Council priorities.
