The Fire Department is the lead agency for delivering arson investigation services in Roseville. All fires are investigated for cause and origin. Suspicious fires, or fires that are determined to be arson, are investigated by trained fire investigators in cooperation with the Roseville Police Department.
Arson Task Force
The Roseville Fire Department is a member of the Sacramento-Sierra Arson Task Force. The purpose of the Arson Task Force is to bring together representatives of law enforcement and the fire service to curb the rising incidents of arson and other fire related crimes.
The goal of the Arson Task Force is to provide members with adequate knowledge and experience related to the cause of fires to determine if a crime has been committed, along with effective coordination and cooperation between law enforcement, the fire service, and those charged with the responsibility to prosecute such acts.
