About Station 6
Fire Station 6 is positioned on the east side of the city, located at 1430 East Roseville Parkway. The station borders Rocklin city limits and is often called to assist with mutual aid response to Rocklin Fire Dept. Some of the businesses near station 6 are Sunsplash Water Park, the Roseville Auto Mall, Sutter Roseville Medical Center and eight different hotels. The station covers sections of Interstate 80 and Highway 65 and also provides coverage to many of the city’s biking and hiking trails along the waterways.
This station was dedicated to Assistant Fire Chief Ray Sharp on June 30, 2003. The station features one of Roseville’s most modern architectural designs. This station is unique as it was built with solar panels on its roof, which puts electricity back into the electric grid system.
Station 6 houses an engine company staffed by three personnel and also has a Brush Rig which responds to wildland incidents locally as well as statewide when needed. Station 6 is also home to the Roseville Fire Department’s Bike Team. The bike teams patrol public events such as Downtown Tuesday Nights, city parades and the Placer County Fair.
